1. Scope of Service
Peaceful Goodbyes provides compassionate in-home euthanasia services for companion animals across the United Kingdom, aiming to offer a peaceful and dignified farewell in the comfort of the pet’s home.
2. Limitation of Liability
Services are carried out by a registered veterinary surgeon in accordance with the guidelines of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). However:
No specific emotional outcome or experience is guaranteed.
The owner acknowledges that the decision to proceed with euthanasia is made with full informed consent, having been presented with available clinical alternatives.
The veterinarian shall not be held liable for emotional, psychological, or financial consequences resulting from the decision to proceed (or not proceed) with euthanasia.
We are not liable for technical or logistical issues beyond our control (e.g., heavy traffic, adverse weather, inaccessible property, etc.).
3. Client Requirements
The client must be over 18 years of age and legally authorised to request euthanasia.
A signed Informed Consent for Euthanasia form is required prior to the administration of any sedatives or euthanasia agents.
The animal must be present at the agreed location and safely accessible to the attending veterinarian.
4. Cancellations and Last-Minute Changes
We understand that unforeseen situations may arise. However, the veterinarian’s time is limited and valuable.
Cancellations must be made at least 2 hours in advance.
If the pet passes away before the veterinarian arrives or if the service cannot be completed due to client decision or last-minute changes (including no one being present at the property), a partial fee may be charged to cover travel and time allocation, typically ranging between £80–£120 depending on distance and time reserved.
Any refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the veterinarian’s discretion.
5. Fees and Payments
All fees are clearly communicated prior to the visit.
Payments must be made in advance or immediately upon completion of the service, via card, bank transfer, or cash.
Pricing may include: travel, clinical assessment, sedation, euthanasia, legal certification, and initial handling of the pet’s body, if required.
6. Informational Content and Disclaimer
All written or visual content on this website and associated social media channels is intended for informational purposes only and does not replace individual clinical judgment. When in doubt, please seek direct veterinary advice.
7. Data Protection
All personal data will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 (UK GDPR). We do not share data with third parties without explicit consent, unless legally required.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant UK courts.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a service with Peaceful Goodbyes, the client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
